Study of stigma among depressed and COVID-19 infected patients

: Background: Stigma is a phenomenon of underlying difficulties. It one the major challenges interfering with health care services especially in need rapid efficient dealing like what we have covid 19 pandemic and mental health. In our study assessed presence stigma infected patients depressed certain factors that might associated stigmatization. Methods: The was conducted among 70 patients; 35 depression post COVID-19 using Explanatory Model Interview Catalogue (EMIC) scale from outpatient psychiatric chest clinics after verification diagnoses. Results: EMIC score studied groups showed mean group significantly higher than (28.2 ± 9.8 vs 21.7 9.4, respectively). There non-significant negative correlation between age stigma. Association sex different females were more affected male both groups, while found single (29.6 9.3) married (26.5 10.5) nearly equal group. Also, an association educational level, work groups.
